The roots of our love for agriculture

Healthy dairy farming in the Netherlands

Things done with passion have the power to create real change. And when you add a well-coordinated team, everything is on the right track. Since 1970, we have been combining tradition and innovation in the northern Netherlands to shape the Pon vision. A strong focus on animal welfare, modern technology, and successful genetics - brought to life by a team that places collaboration at the very heart of everything it does.

About us

How we build trust in agriculture

The roots of our love for agriculture lie in Koepon Netherlands. This is where the Pon-vision of an innovative, healthy dairy farm first became reality – where Holstein cows enjoy more space and comfort, where industry-leading high-tech sets new standards, and the place with red-and-white cattle genetics that are among the best in the world.

Stronger together

In everything we do, we have always remained down-to-earth. We are a team that loves its animals and its work, and that feels most at home when working together. With colleagues, some of whom have been with us for decades, and who are steadily transforming our conventional farming system into a more circular approach. All of this makes Koepon Netherlands a farm that builds trust, produces high-quality milk, meat, and crops, and leads the way in genetics.

Our passion for innovation

While valuing tradition, we also love to explore, to test, and putting new ideas into practice. Whether through genomics for high-quality breeding, eco-friendly ploughing and cover crops that improve soil health, or milking and manure-removal robots that make daily operations more efficient. We believe that high-tech and agriculture simply belong together – just as we do as a team.

We work closely together, and it is not unusual to see Pon stopping by for a walk through the barns or to enjoy a cup of coffee with colleagues. This sense of openness, authenticity, and transparency is part of who we are, and something our visitors experience for themselves during farm tours and open days.

Our team

Specialized in teamwork

Koepon Netherlands is backed by a close-knit team of eight colleagues. Some of them have been with Koepon for more than 30 years – a level of loyalty that shows this is more than just a job. Each of us brings a disctinct area of expertise, from crop farming and feeding to breeding and machanisation. What unites us is our passion for dairy farming and the opportunity to help shape every single day.
